The Pliability of Skin

Skin's pliability actually derives from the "dermis", layer beneath the epidermis. The epidermis serves as a protective layer, while the dermis provides skin most of it's basic feature: pliability, sensory ablity (touch, warmth, etc.) and controls temperature.
